 Once upon a time, there lived a man named Akil in a village. His parents passed away when he was just a child. He made his living by working in the fields with great difficulty. He had a chicken. Which used to give him an egg every day.


Akil used to sell the chicken's egg and earned some money. A man named Baskar lived in his neighbourhood. he was not a good person




He was jealous of Akil. When Akil was not at home. Baskar stole the chicken cooked it and ate it. When Akil came home and did not see the chicken at home, he started looking for his chicken here and there and saw some of his chicken's feathers outside Baskar's house. When he talked to Baskar about the chicken Baskar said that his cat had caught a chicken and brought it since the chicken was already dead I cooked and ate it I never know it was your chicken


Akil told Baskar that he would complain to the village chief. Hearing this, Baskar gave Akil a small duck instead of the Chicken. Akil feed and took care of the duck, after a few days the duck grew up and started laying eggs.


One night when it was raining a lot. A sage, reached Baskar's house to ask for a place to stay. But Baskar refused him. After that, he went to Akil's house. Akil allowed the sage to stay at his home and also fed him.


The next morning the sage left Akil's house and continued his journey but before leaving he thought of rewarding Akil for the kindness and blessed the Duck and the duck started to lay golden eggs.

Akil was overjoyed on seeing his duck laying a golden egg every day soon Akil became rich But still, he lived a simple life. Soon Baskar heard that the duck he gave to Akil is laying a golden egg and became jealous, he went to the Village chief and said that Akil has stolen his Duck.


When the Village chief asked Akil about this, he told him everything about how Baskar had given him the duck. The Village chief said that "I will decide tomorrow who will get the duck".


 The next day the judge showed both of them two eggs and asked them which was their duck's egg, Akil identified his duck's egg but Baskar failed the Village chief  gave the duck to Akil and punished Baskar for his lies


Moral: Never be jealous of others and never lie
