Moral story for kids: The Lion and the little mouse

Once in the dense rainforest, a big lion was taking a nap with his head resting on his paws. Unexpectedly, a tiny mouse hurriedly ran across the lion's nose, waking him up. Annoyed, the lion angrily placed his huge paw on the mouse, ready to squish her.

The frightened mouse pleaded with the lion to spare her life, promising to repay the favour someday. Surprisingly, the lion, feeling generous at the moment, decided to let the mouse go, amused by the idea that such a tiny creature could ever help him.

A few days later, the lion fell into a hunter's trap while hunting for prey. Struggling in the net, he roared in anger. The little mouse happened to pass by and heard the lion's cries. She rushed to the lion's aid, finding him trapped in the hunter's net.

With her sharp teeth, the mouse started gnawing at the net, creating a hole big enough for the lion to escape. Eventually, the lion freed himself from the trap, thanks to the mouse's help.

Grateful, the lion thanked the little mouse, who reminded him that she had now repaid the kindness he had shown her before. From that day on, the lion and the mouse became good friends, living happily together in the forest.

Moral of the story: Kindness and love are powerful forces that achieve what force cannot.
