Once upon a time, in a small town, there was a big grocery store facing a troublesome issue. Mischievous mice were causing havoc by nibbling on everything in the shop – bags, bread, biscuits, and even fruits. Concerned about the losses, the shopkeeper decided to bring in a solution: a big fat cat.
The next day, the storekeeper introduced the cat to the shop, and it happily made a feast out of the mice, preventing further damage. The shopkeeper was relieved that the cat effectively dealt with the mouse problem.
The mice, however, were in distress as their population rapidly decreased. Worried, they gathered for a meeting to discuss the issue. They complained to the head mouse about the cat stealthily attacking them, making it hard for them to know when their predator was nearby.
In the meeting, the head mouse suggested a plan – to put a bell on the cat. This way, the mice could hear the noise and escape when the cat approached. The idea was well-received, but the challenge remained: who would bell the cat?
Amidst the silence, a tiny mouse bravely volunteered. He asked for a necklace of three bells tied in a pink ribbon. With the bells in hand, the little mouse approached the cat that afternoon.
Facing the potentially dangerous cat, the tiny mouse cleverly complimented the cat on her beauty. He presented the necklace of bells as a gift, praising her appearance and suggesting that wearing it would make her the most beautiful cat in the world. The cat, flattered by the compliments, allowed the mouse to tie the necklace around her neck.
The cat, enchanted by her new accessory, even jumped on a stool to admire herself in the mirror. The tiny mouse continued to shower compliments, and the cat, pleased with the attention, spared the mouse's life.
However, hunger soon struck the cat, and she began searching for mice. But this time, the mice were no longer afraid. Whenever the cat was nearby, the bells ringing alerted them, and they swiftly disappeared, outsmarting their once-feared predator.
The moral of the story: “Have the courage to confront a tough situation Also, do not trust anyone blindly,
